Good Friday

“He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; rand the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

– Isaiah 53:3-6

Daily Faith: Be Kind

Be Kind

Is there something we wouldn’t like our neighbor to do to us? Then let us always remember that this is the thing we shouldn’t do to him. Is there a thing we would like our neighbor to do to us? Then this is the very thing we should do to him.

Be kind to people and if they’re hard to please, don’t seek to please them, but to please your Christ Jesus. Love thy neighbor, because in so doing you are following the footsteps of Christ.
